Many faithful supporters spent a romantic evening in the much -populated Village Hall Tuesday night to hear an update from the committee and be presented with the future business plan should the purchase of The Harrow, Stockbury go ahead at the end of March.
Again there was a brilliant turn out including many who were unable to find a seat and therefore elected to stand rather than miss out on any vital information. Thanks to the continuous support from local people and the committees tireless efforts these are now the stats as they stand:
£163,200 raised from shares sold
£2500 grant already received to aid the purchase
£60,000 worth of a combination of grants and loans expected to come in
Shareholder agreement to be distributed by the 21st February
Moneys to come into bank account by the 17th March from shareholders
The committee has put forward the proposal that to cover the costs of purchase and the initial revamp of the pub to make it a warm and inviting hub of the community that they are now seeking £120,000 in loans from any shareholder or outside party. These loans would be secured against the value of the property and carry an interest rate of 4%.
If anyone (shareholder or no) were interesting in providing some or all of this loan amount you are encouraged to email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
